It is hard to picture 1/3 of the town GONE. I know that the people of Joplin will appreciate anything you can send them. Several area churches around here are mobilizing fill the truck campaigns.

We have another night of stormy weather forecasted for tonight and they say it will be the worst of them all. People in Joplin may be able to get back on track after tonight.Lisa - the Granola Catholichttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09020431743182581746noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4853477990546994356.post-25537816694684057792011-05-24T11:44:36.970-05:002011-05-24T11:44:36.970-05:00Although I am not from Joplin, and have only drive...Although I am not from Joplin, and have only driven through there on my way to other places, this tornado literally hit close to home for many of my friends, both in real life and on line. I've already made a cash donation and we have donated a full truck load of immediate need items to our local drop-off point.

It's easy to dismiss these disasters when they happen elsewhere, whether elsewhere is in another state or another country. When they happen in your home state, or as with you, within a short drive of your home, they are real eye-openers. This could happen to any of us, and I knew we'd dearly appreciate the help if we were in the same situation.Annie Joneshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07123644833186800503noreply@blogger.com
