Pretty

This makes me so happy, after a summer that ran over 100 degrees for over 40 days we are seeing cooler weather. With the cooler weather the garden is starting to come back to life . I spotted this lone Rose of Sharon bloom on Monday.

Happy

The weather is still warm here, but oh so beautiful. In fact it was so beautiful that the other night after 5pm mass the girls didn’t even bother to change before going out to play.  I love that my girls still know how to play in dresses and skirts and are not too old to play

Funny

– When my son was told he could not bring his toys into the living room, because his sister was going to vacuum he had a solution.

Real

Going to 5pm mass has some benefits. After Pumpkin is done with his First Communion Class we are free for the rest of the day. After enjoying a lovely Sunday Dinner. I new tradition for us. We can go out for a hike and enjoy our land. When prompted to go out for a hike my children went to attire themselves appropriately. Apparently, this means knee high socks, cowboy boots, crocs, a shield and a spear. Hard to believe that my kids clean up so nicely when you look at this picture.

Great hiking wear :) I love the picture playing in church clothes - that's wonderful.

The dog crate is very creative! Way to problem solve, right?

Your yard is beautiful! You must have some gorgeous property for those sweet children to explore!
We have friends who hike every Sunday after Mass and lunch until the snow gets too deep - what a wonderful way to spend the afternoon with your family!

Thank you Andrea, we have about 5 acres, just enough for the kids to explore, and we are loving the new schedule of 5pm mass. Especially while the weather is so nice. Ask me in another month when it starts to get dark earlier if I like 5pm mass. My mind will probably change.

We attend 5pm Mass too, and I love how our whole day is free before-hand! Plus it fits nicely into the baby's nap schedule :D
The dog-crate solution is GENIUS.

I agree HolyElise, my kid is a genius.
