Ain't rain grand? After hot dry weather, that is.

Marta, wish we had more rain. Just heard the forecast for the next 8 days and the lowest temp is 102. I need a rain cloud to follow me around.

Poor lawn. It will grow back, eventually! Reminds me of singing in the rain...:)

GGG - The lawn is mostly Bermuda and luckily for us it goes dormant. If and when the rain returns it will grow back lickity split. Now the vegetable garden that is a different story. But the truly amazing thing to me is the Sunflowers, they are continuing to bloom even in this drought. I am pretty sure they are from the seeds I bought for the birds from the vegetable stand. They must non gmo seeds. Since the flowers are soo hardy

Hopefully more comes your way.. We could use some here in Florida too. I love the last photo with the umbrella :)

We are in serious need for some rain, too. Our grass looks just like your top picture.

Carol, but your flowers look wonderful. Thank goodness, my landscaping is designed to take this heat. But all has gone to seed and died back already and I have lots of native plants so they are hardy enough to come back (hopefully)

we finally got some rain here too... many hard & fast storms blew through the last 3 days. it helps with the ground somewhat... what did not get washes away (again) but I see the flowers & grass seem happier! thank you for the healing prayers & thoughts :o)~Faythe @ GMT

You are so welcom Faythe, love my online community here. We are seriously hoping that the gulf tropical storm comes this way. It won't be strong enough to budge this heat completely but it will give us some relief.
