What is a Granola Catholic?

I chose this name because it seemed to be a good fit for me and my family. We are The Green Family and  we are the the family in the fourth pew.  At this busy, crazy time I am looking to simplfy and combining in one blog seemed to be a direction to go in.  Only time will tell, right? In a nutshell we are a Catholic family who is trying to live a more green lifestyle.  We use NFP,  breastfeed our babies,  garden organically,  my dh is in his final months of  formation as a Catholic Deacon  and leads adoration. We are active in our parish teaching Sunday School and use cloth bags and a clothesline.  We are working with a local monastery, helping them get established and grow.I am described  by friends, family and other moms as being “organic” but aren’t we all a little organic?
After all, everything that God created is Organic. 

I bought my dh a bumper sticker recently.

I  think  it fits my philosophy perfectly. If God recycles and cares about us and our blue sphere, then maybe we should too.
